About this trip

Students will reinforce what they have learned in 8th Grade US History while they travel for 6 days and 5 nights to  Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Gettysburg, and Hershey Park.  It's a trip of a lifetime as they experience Arlington Cemetery, the Lincoln Memorial, Independence Hall, Gettysburg Military Park and so much more.

We celebrate the trip by having a blast at the award winning Hershey Park.

What's included

Meals

All meals are included, except for breakfast the first day.

Transportation

All transportation requirements from the school and back to the school again.

Night time security

Security at the hotel is included.

All tips and gratuities

Students won't have to worry about tipping servers, drivers, etc..

3-4 star hotels

We stay at 3-4 star hotels.

Bottled Water

It's important to stay hydrated so we supply an abundance of water.

Saturday, June 20

4:00 am Meet at Lowell Middle School 

750 Foreman St Lowell, MI 49331

Students enter through main entrance and will meet their 

chaperone in the cafeteria. 

  • Check in - Students only in the building, parents wait outside for space purposes

  • PARENTS/GUARDIANS: PLEASE PARK IN THE SIDE PARKING AREA AND BACK LOT. BUSSES WILL PARK IN THE DROP OFF LANES IN FRONT OF THE SCHOOL

  • Meet your chaperones and load buses

4:30 am Depart for Gettysburg

12:00 pm lunch (provided - boxed lunch at the rest area)


5:00 pm Gettysburg Military Park Visitors Center Special after hours program.

  • Cyclorama

  • Movie:  A New Birth of Freedom

  • Museum Walk Through

  • Dinner in the Battlegrounds Cafe

  • Battlefield Tour

11:45 am Depart for Philly’s Gourmet Steaks for lunch

1:00 pm Depart for Independence Hall 1:40, 2:00, 2:20 timed tickets

  • Ranger guided tour of Ind. Hall

  • Liberty Bell Exhibit

  • Tomb of the Unknown Revolutionary Soldier

  • Gift shopping at Independence Hall Visitors Center


3:00 pm Depart for the Constitution Center (3:15 Freedom Rising Presentation) 

4:30 pm Depart for our Double Decker Bus Ride 

(Double Deckers pick up at Constitution Center and drop off at Dave & Busters)

10:30 am Depart for the US Capitol Building & Grounds 

Drop off at the Garfield Monument located on First St. and Maryland.

  • Group Picture in front of the Capitol

  • Library of Congress (outside view)

  • Supreme Court (outside view)

  • Lunch inside the Capitol - 12:30 Vouchers

  • Capitol Building Tour (1:30 and 1:40 timed tickets)

 3:00 pm Depart for the Smithsonian Museums

Choices of:  Natural History Museum and American History Museum

5:00 pm Depart for Medieval Times Dinner Tournament and Theatre
