Wander through Historic Mill Creek which features a reconstructed 18th-century sawmill where you can witness demonstrations of how timber was cut using the power of the creek. And explore the amazing Fort Michilimackinac, located in Mackinaw City, Michigan. This is a fascinating historical site that dates back to the early 18th century. Originally built by the French around 1715, it served as a key trading post and military outpost at the Straits of Mackinac. 

Together, we’ll uncover Michigan’s rich heritage, making memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. Whether it’s history, adventure, or just good old-fashioned fun, there’s something magical awaiting you on Mackinac Island!

7:15 a.m. Depart aboard our deluxe motor coach  

10:45 a.m. Arrive at for Historic Mill Creek 9001 W, US-23, Mackinaw City, MI 49701

11:45 p.m. Depart for Fort Michilimackinac

12:00 p.m. Arrive at Fort Michilimackinac 106 W Straits Ave, Mackinaw City, MI 49701

• Enjoy a self-provided sack lunch

12:45 p.m. Explore the fort

1:45 p.m. Depart for Castle Rock - climb up this 200 ft staircase and capture the amazing view of the Mighty Mackinac Bridge from the peak.

8:30 a.m. Depart for the Shepler’s Ferry Main Dock, Mackinaw City

• Must leave on time.  Must be to the Ferry early to ensure we all get on the same one.

9:00 a.m. Ferry departs 

9:30 a.m. Arrive at the island on Shepler’s Dock 

• Walk to the Carriage Ticket office on Main Street

10: 00 a.m. Enjoy a Horse and Carriage ride (Drop off at Governor's Mansion above the Fort)

• Walk to the Fort After

11:30 p.m. Explore the Fort

12:30 p.m. Enjoy Boxed Lunch (provided) in the big yard in front of the Fort

12:45 p.m. Free time-Meet at the Ferry Doc at 4:00

4:30 p.m. Depart via Shepler’s Ferry to Mackinaw City

5:00 p.m. Arrive at Shepler Dock in Mackinaw City and depart for home 

6:00 p.m. Stop in Gaylord for dinner ($20 provided to students) 

9:00 p.m. Estimated arrival at school
