Explore the iconic Fort Mackinac, where history springs to life with captivating stories and engaging demonstrations. Wander through Historic Mill Creek which features a reconstructed 18th-century sawmill where you can witness demonstrations of how timber was cut using the power of the creek. And explore the amazing Fort Michilimackinac, located in Mackinaw City, Michigan. This is a fascinating historical site that dates back to the early 18th century. Originally built by the French around 1715, it served as a key trading post and military outpost at the Straits of Mackinac.
Together, we’ll uncover Michigan’s rich heritage, making memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. Whether it’s history, adventure, or just good old-fashioned fun, there’s something magical awaiting you on Mackinac Island!
Students will enjoy the trip via Deluxe Motor Coach.
We'll take a ferry from Mackinac City to Mackinac Island.
All meals are included except breakfast and lunch the first day.
We'll be staying in a quality hotel in Mackinaw City.
All items listed on the itinerary are included unless otherwise indicated.
While we do include the meals with this trip, snacks are up to each participant.
Souvenirs are on your own.
Tipping at the hotel is encouraged but is not part of the cost of the trip. All other tips are included.
Trip insurance is available for purchase but must be done within 14 days of registration.
Trip protection is available for purchase. It allows for a full refund up until 6:00pm the night before the trip.

Must leave on time. Must be to the Ferry early to ensure we all get on the same one.

9:30 a.m. Arrive at the island on Shepler’s Dock
Walk to the Carriage Ticket office on Main Street
10: 00 a.m. Enjoy a Horse and Carriage ride (Drop off at Governor's Mansion above the Fort)

12:30 p.m. Enjoy Boxed Lunch (provided) in the big yard in front of the Fort
12:45 p.m. Free time-Meet at the Ferry Doc at 4:00

5:00 p.m. Arrive at Shepler Dock in Mackinaw City and depart for home
6:00 p.m. Stop in Gaylord for dinner ($20 provided to students)
