About this trip

Students will reinforce what they have learned in 8th Grade US History while they travel for 6 days and 5 nights to  Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Gettysburg, and Hershey Park.  It's a trip of a lifetime as they experience Arlington Cemetery, the Lincoln Memorial, Independence Hall, Gettysburg Military Park and so much more.

We celebrate the trip by having a blast at the award winning Hershey Park.

  •  Memorial Tour:  Jefferson, FDR, MLK Jr., and a picture stop at the White House
  •  Depart for the Hotel:  Holiday Inn, 10000 Baltimore Ave, College Park, MD 20740

8:00 a.m. Depart for the US Capitol Building & Grounds

  • Capitol Grounds Tour
  • Capitol Building Tour 
  • Library of Congress Tour
  • Supreme Court Picture stop
  • Group Picture in front of the Capitol

11:30 p.m. Lunch at the Capitol Building Cafe

12:30 p.m. Depart for Ford’s Theatre or Holocaust Museum

2:30 p.m. Depart for the  Smithsonian Museums

5:30 p.m. Dinner at the Reagan International Trade Center

6:30 p.m. Memorial Tour:  Lincoln, WWII, Vietnam and Korean

8:00 p.m. Depart for the hotel

9:00 p.m. Story Time with Ole Bess
