Beyond the monuments, D.C. is a hub of political activity, offering students a front-row seat to observe our 1st amendment rights in action. A visit to Washington, D.C., not only enhances students' academic knowledge but also inspires civic engagement and a deeper understanding of the nation's past, present, and future. 


Gettysburg National Military Park offers students a deeper understanding of one of the most significant battles of the American Civil War. The park offers a chance to walk the battlefield, explore key sites like Little Round Top and Pickett's Charge. The experience provides valuable insights into the war's impact on American history, the soldiers' experiences, and the broader fight for unity and freedom. 


What's included

Meals

All meals are included except breakfast the first day. Students are encouraged to pack a few snacks to eat on the way to our first lunch.

Transportation

All transportation requirements from the school and back to the school again.

Night time security

Security at the hotel is included.

All tips and gratuities

Students won't have to worry about tipping servers, drivers, etc..

3-4 star hotels

We stay at 3-4 star hotels.

Bottled Water

It's important to stay hydrated so we supply an abundance of water.

Tickets and Admissions

All tickets and admission prices are included.

Souvenir T-shirt

A souvenir t-shirt will be included if registered for the trip by January 30.

Trip members must purchase their own souvenirs.

Snacks and drinks

Trip members are welcome to pack drinks and snacks or to purchase them during the trip.

Trip Protection

Trip protection is offered as an add on, it'll allow for a full refund all the way up to 6:00pm the night before departure.

5:30 am Meet at Tawas Area MS 

6:00 am Depart for on an amazing tour of Washington DC & Gettysburg

11:00 am We’ll stop for lunch en-route to the Flight 93 National Memorial 

($20 cash provided)

2:00 pm Visit the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, Pa

3:00 pm Depart for the Pentagon City Mall food court where we’ll enjoy

 Dinner (voucher included).   

6:30pm Dinner 

7:30 pm Enjoy a Memorial Tour:  Jefferson, FDR, and MLK Jr.

9:00 pm Depart for our hotel (Local to Washington DC)

9:45 pm Night Security provided by Republic Hall Monitors

7:00 am Deluxe breakfast buffet at our hotel

8:00 am Capitol Hill

  • Talk with your Representative or Senator (depending availability)

  • Capitol Tour

  • Supreme Court Picture Stop

  • Library of Congress Tour

  • Lunch Inside the Capitol (voucher included)


1:00 pm Depart Capitol Hill for the National Archives

2:30 pm Enjoy a tour of the home of Frederick Douglass

3:30 pm Visit the Smithsonian Museums choosing between the following:

  • American History Museum

  • Natural History Museum

  • Air & Space museum

  • African American Museum of History & Culture

5:30 pm Depart for dinner at the Reagan International Trade Center

6:30 pm Depart for a Memorial Tour:  WWII, Vietnam, Lincoln, and Korea

8:30 pm Depart for the hotel

3:30 pm United States Holocaust Memorial Museum

5:00 pm Depart for Medieval Times Dinner Tournament & Theatre

9:00 pm Depart for the hotel
